Psalm 67 0 To the leader: with stringed instruments. A Psalm. A Song.
|
Daily Prayer (based on Psalm 67:1) Dear Lord, I love the imagery of Your face shining upon us. I know it conveys Your blessing. Yet there is something special about Your face shining on me. I think of the way parents at church beam with pride when their children sing in choir. Or I think of the smile of a father embracing a daughter. Or the joy of a mother when she first sees her newborn baby. And so this wonderful image of Your smiling face fills me with the confidence that I am Your beloved child. It makes me want to be with You, to delight in You, and to enjoy You forever. Postscript What is the chief end of man? Man's chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy Him for ever.
