Psalm 4 To the leader: with stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. |
Daily Prayer (based on Psalm 4:3) Dear Lord, so often I think that You have called me to a task, and indeed You have. I'm to serve You with all that I am, living for your kingdom in this world. I am Your subject, Your disciple, Your missionary in this world. But I too easily miss an even more amazing calling. You have set me apart, not only to do things for You, but simply for You. You desire relationship with me. You want my friendship. What a wonder, that the God of the universe actually wants me, to know me and be my friend. How I praise You for setting me apart, not just for service, but for Yourself! (see also John 15:13-15). Postscript "Befriended" by Matt Redman
